Dive Centre Used: Maltaqua, St Pauls Bay (see link)

Dive Site: Blue Hole & the Chimney

Type of Dive: Shore Dive

Comments:

Not one for those that don't like to walk 2-300m in full wetsuit carrying a full kit over a rough terrain particularly for those who don't have good upper body strength or who find balancing or walking on slippery rock difficult.

Apart form that, once you are at the entry / exit point, the blue hole, the dive is well worth all the stress & strain of getting there.

The chimney is a feature during the dive which if you are quite large, like I am, could be quite a squeeze or if you are claustrophobic, you might have a problem.

Dive Site: Inland Sea

Type of Dive: Shore Dive

Comments:

Entry & exit from the water at this site is via a stone slipway & was the easiest shore dive done.

A short swim to the start of the tunnel under the cliff and away you go on one of the nicest dives you will do. Keep an eye out for Tuna during your dive and for the photographers among you, there is plenty to get your flashes going.

Only problem with this dive, and it is a small one, is that you have to be aware of the pleasure boats taking non divers through the tunnel. The onus for looking out for the boats is placed firmly on the divers since the boat captains pay no attention to anything in the water!
